Unable to Access VS Code Website and Installation Issues

Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I recently encountered an issue with Microsoft Visual Studio Code on my system. A few days ago, I noticed that VS Code was uninstalled. Initially, I assumed it was an accidental uninstallation and decided to reinstall it later. However, I observed that my system became slightly slower, which raised concerns.

When I tried reinstalling VS Code through the official website, the request was blocked, and I received the error message:
"The request is blocked."

Subsequently, I attempted to install it via the Microsoft Store. After a few attempts, I was able to install VS Code successfully. However, I am still unable to access the official VS Code website, which is highly inconvenient for accessing documentation and updates.

I want to clarify that I have not engaged in any suspicious activities, and I am unsure why access is restricted. Additionally, I am concerned that my PC might have been compromised by a cyber attack, causing these anomalies.

Could you please investigate this matter and help me regain access to the VS Code website? Any assistance or guidance you can provide to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running into the same issue. Regardless of which computer I use from my home.
If I connect to a VPN, then I can reach the website without any issues.

I CAN make a port 443 TCP connection to the site -- I just always get an error page indicating my request was blocked when attempting any HTTP protocol requests

@joaomoreno, Although it is working fine, when I checked it randomly today, it seems you have not responded for the last three weeks. That is very strange from a customer service point of view.

I'm having the same problem. Everything on https://code.visualstudio.com is returning "The request is blocked" when accessing from the home network. However, I can access it from my cell network on my phone.

I think Azure Front Door is blocking my home IP. This is all I see:

I realize this probably isn't the place to resolve this. But does anyone know where to go to get unblocked?

I hit this same problem today and was stumped as to what was going on. I tried Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge on a Mac all with the same results. I thought the site might be down so I tried to hit it from my phone (via cell connection) and the site loaded up immediately. 🤷🏻‍♂️
I then fired up my dedicated travel hotspot and switch my Mac over to it and tried hitting the site again. This time it loaded up with no issues. 🫤
I then went back to my home internet (Comcast) and boom. The request is blocked!
I started to investing my home internet connection and found out that my rotating IP with Comcast had switched to a new one. The only thing I can think is that the IP I currently have was used in a hacking attempt or some other way that is now blocked by Microsoft. Unfortunately, Comcast doesn't give you an easy way to swap out your assigned IP. 😡

I just had the same problem today. I tried it on my celular and it worked but on my wifi I was getting "The request is blocked". My workaround to accessing the site was using a vpn. The error message went away after a few hours and now I am able to access the site.

yeah... i did the workaround with the vpn.
just a free VPN on chrome did the job for me.

Same thin happened with me, anything from the code.visualstudio domain doesnt load, even the extension marketplace, i downloaded the installer from my phone and passed it for my computer from google drive! vs code working fine btw!
