Terminal is slow to open and sometimes crashes after killing the previous terminal

The terminal process "C:\WINDOWS\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe" terminated with exit code: -1073741510.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Terminal
  2. Kill Terminal
  3. repeat steps 1-2 until it crashes
    also notice it sometimes taking longer than normal to open

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: 1.98.1
  • OS Version: Windows 11
