  • I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
  • I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.

Installation issue.

Brief description of your issue

Unable to install using --scope=user

Steps to reproduce

winget install --scope=user JohnMacFarlane.Pandoc

Actual behavior

Version 3.1.2 is installed.

Expected behavior

Version 3.1.6.2 is installed; there is an entry for this version in the manifest but it is lacking the metadata for user scope.

The user scope install is broken in pandoc 3.6.2, see #213403
