I've started using these packages recently and had to use a previous version to the current one due to a tool not accepting some of the new API of the library.
I noticed the nix packages version is not pinned, so although I used the commit that is pointing to an older version, I was getting python configuration errors due to a change in API between a year ago and now, since the flakes/shells point to nix's unstable channel.
Tagging the commits when esp-idf version changes would also be super useful for the sake of being able to easily mention them in dev flakes instead of using commit hashes as well :)
