Android Tools Plugin Gradle 2.3.3

Hi! I have been experiencing some trouble building some of the guest science example packages. Specifically, I've encountered problems related to the Android Tools Plugin Gradle 2.3.3.

The server that hosted the legacy gradle required by the examples has shut down (as of August 15th, 2024) and is in the process of migrating to Maven Central (See this Article!). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the Maven Database has the correct plugin version.

Is there a workaround for this?

Hi! Thank you for reporting this.

We could use a different Gradle version (it's due an upgrade anyway) but it seems like the rosjava maven repo is also affected. I will look into this and will provide an update as soon as I have news.

More testing is required and a PR will be merged eventually for all affected APKs. But if you need a quick fix, feel free to look at this commit.
