[Bug]: Translation / Grammar issue in Welcome Mail #51706
Comments
Translations are handled via Transifex. You can create an account and contribute the change: https://app.transifex.com/nextcloud/nextcloud/viewstrings/#de_DE/settings-1/484457704?q=text%3ALogin |
Thank for that tip Josh. But it is not possible to register an account with my gmail or iCloud address. It says only business accounts allowed. So I’m not able to contribute the change on Transifex. |
Interesting. I didn't sign up with my email address; I just used the GitHub login integration (which, ironically, sets my Transifex address to my gmail address) so I never noticed that (which may be a workaround for you if you're okay with that). @rakekniven Any idea if this is a hard requirement? The open source sign-up page also says "Business email" just like the regular signup page: https://app.transifex.com/signup/open-source/ |
I actually tried it first with my GitHub account, which is linked to my iCloud address. This didn’t work. Then I tried my gmail address, with the same result. Probably this is a new requirement. |
I've just seen that for the first time. Fixed strings seconds ago. |

Bug description
If you create a new user with a mail address, the user gets a welcome mail.
If you use as default language „de_DE“ (German with the formal form „Sie“), there is a grammar issue.
It says: „Ihre Anmeldename lautet XXX“
The correct spelling is „Ihr Anmeldename lautet“.
Only one Letter to much, but still wrong :-)
Steps to reproduce
Expected behavior
„Ihr Anmeldename lautet“
