Add tutorial for NIC deployment in Azure AKS

The NGINX docs team received a request for a new document that goes over how to use NIC within Azure-managed k8s environments (AKS environments). We currently have such a document for AWS-managed k8s, but lack documentation for other cloud providers.

@sdutta9 made the initial request. I'm not clear on whether the request is for a new doc like Using the AWS Marketplace Ingress Controller Image, but for AKS, or for one like the NGINX Plus AWS deploy guide.

The Marketplace guides tend to be marketplace specific. And are also a requirement of the individual marketplaces. There will be an Azure specific one for that in the future.
I would expect this to be more generic about deploying NIC to AKS.

Hi @jputrino, my initial request was for one like the NGINX Plus AWS deploy guide. I do realize that we do not have Ingress Controller Image in Azure marketplace so the other doc needs to wait.

Jason William, Chris Akker and I also did a workshop for Microsoft and we did document steps to deploy NIC on Azure. https://github.com/nginxinc/nginx-ingress-workshops/tree/main/Azure/labs/lab0
Maybe this document can come handy if you are planning to create a new document for Azure AKS.

Now. Here is a question.
And this links to that use case document that I have a PR in for. It described a use case and then linked off to the related resources: examples, videos, workshop labs, embedded doc links, etc.
Is there a way to take advantage of the existing workshop content as an extension of the docs?

Hi @vepatel, thats not true. We have NGINX Plus AWS deploy guide which provides steps on deploying NIC to AWS EKS. I am fine if we do not publish guides for individual cloud providers.
All I am trying to convey is if we have a doc for one of the major cloud providers then we should also have something for the other two major cloud providers. If we do not plan to do that then we should remove/unpublish the AWS guide as with the current state it can be easily misinterpreted as AWS is our preferred choice for cloud deployments.

@sdutta9 that document isn't provided by NIC team but Nginx Plus (as the link also conveys) team afaik but I understand the point you're making here.

Why is a guide that is obviously about NIC under NGINX Plus?
All other debates aside.
It must be an old guide from the early days of NIC. (Nov 2020)
Which means it is most likely not consistent with AWS any longer.

The short link name of the title is very misleading.

@jputrino right now our team isn't maintaining install docs for NIC for individual cloud providers and unfortunately it is not something we are currently planning to do.
