Hello, I'm part of the Hibernate team, and as we're moving the project to the Commonhaus Foundation we've noticed that we actually own the nhibernate.org domain. I suppose there are historic reasons, but obviously we have little use for it, and it currently only redirects to a page explaining Hibernate and NHibernate are different projects with different teams. Would you want us to transfer this domain to you, or should we just not renew it? Alternatively, could you share who to talk to about this, and through which channels? cc @fredericDelaporte @hazzik @gliljas who I think would know. Thank you! |

Hi, I have been holding nhibernate.info, the current site, since @hazzik and I rejuvenated and moved the web page over a decade ago. I would be happy to hold also nhibernate.org. I think it makes good sense for us to remain in control of this domain to avoid it falling in the hands of squatters or scammers. If it's transferred to me, I think I would initially set up a simple redirect to nhibernate.info. I'm doubtful it makes sense to migrate official main domain at this point. But we should prevent it from being turned into one of those random ad-sites. |
