Particles effect not working after latest Elementor update

I updated my sites plugins and Wordpress version this morning and the particles effect i use on my homepage stopped working, rolling back to the previous Elementor version fixes this issue.

Possibly related to Issue #6.

EDIT: I should add that i have cleared all caches and minified files as well as regenerating the CSS with Elementor, all to no avail.

I'm having the same problem with the particles affect after the new elementor update. Does anybody have a fix for this problem. I am using the ocean WP theme and elementor Pro. I'm getting pretty frustrated not being able to use such a cool tool.

Ok so using WP Rollback, I rolled Elementor back to version 2.0.16 and Granular Controls worked again after I went through everything.

Plugin is called "WP Rollback". Once you install and activate, there's a "rollback" option in the plugins list for each plugin. Click that and rollback to the version I said earlier.

I can also confirm that the changes within pull request #8 from @EdenK fix the issue.

I am however a little concerned that there has been no communication from the plugin author and no updates to the plugin.

I rolled back to the earlier version of elementor and I was able to get the particles effect to work. However, if there are any links on the page they are unable to be opened or clicked on. I am a bit of a novice in this form of correspondence. What is a pull request and has there been a fix other than rolling back to an earlier version of elementor? Is the plug-in author aware of this issue? Thanks for the feedback guys!

@dthomas3349 the plugin author should be aware of these issues because of this thread.

The pull request is a fairly simple fix and only requires a couple of lines in a couple of files to be changed. Until the author accepts the pull request and updates the plugin the only way to fix this issue is to change those files yourself via FTP or Wordpress or to try an alternative plugin.

If you take a look at Pull Request #8 you should see a tab which shows the changed files and the old/new content. Either edit these files via FTP or by using the editor available from the WP dashboard at Plugins >> Editor after you have updated Elementor to the latest version.

EDIT: If there is no response from the plugin author by next week i will be looking for an alternative plugin.
