Calendar Access for Ad-Hoc Profiling SIG Meeting(s)

In our 2026-03-05 meeting the profiling SIG has decided to meet weekly until KubeCon EU to get the profiling signal to alpha.

For this reason I'd like to schedule an ad-hoc SIG meeting on 2026-03-12 (same time as usual).

Following the How to create and configure meetings docs, I have submitted a membership request for the calendar-edit-permission@opentelemetry.io group, but have not heard back.

For this reason I'm asking for help with at least one of the two:

• Access to the calendar-edit-group
• Setting up the meeting for the group on 2026-03-12

hey @felixge! I've approved your calendar-edit-permissions membership.

note that (unfortunately):

The meeting must initially be created by the admin@opentelemetry.io account, otherwise synchronization to external calendars via the calendar-*@opentelemetry.io groups may not work.

which would be the same problem for adding adhoc meetings

I'd suggest pinging your GC liaison (@mtwo) on slack and he can create the meetings on the calendar.

@felixge FYI I'm going to create this temporarily with my existing permissions (rather than with admin@opentelemetry.io), as we just underwent an email migration from splunk.com to cisco.com email addresses and I lost access to our credential store as a result.

Meeting created. As Trask pointed out, this may not propagate to calendars until I re-create it using the admin permissions, which I should be able to do tomorrow.

Thanks @mtwo . I see the event in the calendar, but as you suspected, I didn't get an invite automatically. So if you could re-create it with admin permissions tomorrow, that'd be great 🙇 .
