Research Spike: create orchestrator, processors and uislots from a sepate plugin

We need to create an external plugin with their own

• orchestrator
• processor
• UI slots

To get started we can create a plugin in the edunext org

• write custom orchestrator, processor in backend

• write custom UI slot

• modify the core so that it's possible to load both

We must also document the process for other devs that want to follow this route

@Henrrypg, when you created https://github.com/eduNEXT/openedx-ai-badges, did you use a cookiecutter template or something? Will we need all the files and folders that are in the base commit?

@MaferMazu it was taken from https://github.com/openedx/sample-plugin, and i did some changes based on this repo, i'll be removing all unneeded files

Hi @MaferMazu @felipemontoya, badges repo is now installing as expected, the installations should be similar to ai-extensions. I'm working on have a mock orquestator in badges and connect it to ai-extensions functionality, do you see openedx signals the best way to reach that?

No, signals is only useful for workflows that have no interaction with the user. We don't have good definitions for those yet. The best way to connect it would be to explore how this plugin can expose its own uislot.
