ngx.var.ssl_ciphers in ssl_certificate_by_lua

Trying to access this variable in ssl_certificate_by_lua causes "API disabled in the current context".
I know some work is beeing done on client_hello_by_lua, but would it be possible to expose this
variable in cert_by?
