incompatible SDK

Dear OpenStudio Support Team,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to ask about an issue I encountered when trying to open a file created with OpenStudio SDK version 3.11.0 (v1.11.0-rc2). The file cannot be opened in either the OpenStudio SketchUp Plugin v1.11 or v1.12 (SketchUp 2026). The plugin shows a version mismatch error, indicating that the file was created with a newer SDK version.
Could you please confirm whether SDK 3.11.0-rc2 is supported in the current SketchUp plugin versions, or if an updated plugin will be released to ensure compatibility?

Please advise me how to fix the geometry error as seen in the attached link (video & skp, osm files), and also please tell me how to avoid this same error?

Were you able to get the plug-in to load? Is the initial issue of not being able to load the plug-in resolved? I'm not clear how you are having geometry problems if the plug-in does not load?

Hi Macumber,
Yes, I have already installed the latest version of the plugin v1.11 SDK 3.10, and now I am just changing to v1.12 properly. I was trying to use both the Open Studio plugin v.12-rc in my SketchUp 2026, but my problems are :
OS plugin in Skp 2026 :

• It is still always crashing and is forcing me to close SketchUp, even when I gradually save in 2 files to keep me safe, but it is still useless to reopen the .osm file. I have to unplug and re-plug continuously again and again to open the file, unless it will only show me the wireframe of the geometry

OS standalone v1.11 SDK.3.11 (floorspaceJS) :

• When I am trying to use it directly on the open studio standalone version, it is very hard for me to create both vertical and overhang/horizontal shading. (It is a very rare tutorial on YouTube, regarding a standalone version tutorial. So far, I still can't figure out how to create shading, how to create a single plane surface, and it always has a thickness, which actually does not need for energy plus
• I also try to adjust the level of shading with a thickness space of shading overhang above the 1st floor in shading (z vertex), but when I click geometry diagnostic, the adjustment of the vertex always reverts to the previous vertex
• When I am trying to avoid convex false, I have to split my geometry into a lot of pieces of space to avoid a U, L shape on the overlap between the floor to roof/ceiling surface

Well, I am still a newbie on this app or plugin, so please kindly advise me on how to solve my issue (best practises, what to do vs don't)
