Smaller towns seem missing

I am currently testing the India map, and looking for Kottapalle, near Chagalamarri, returns no results. Same thing with nearby towns of Settiveedu or Godiganuru. Chagalamarri seems to be a bigger city and can be found. Granted, there are about 650,000 locations in the country but it would be good to know where the cutoff stands (e.g. no village under 5k inhabitants)

The list of places available for search comes from Geonames.

ATM we use all places from ADM1 to ADM4.

I've checked and the names you mention do not exists in Geonames DB. I also failed to find them on wikipedia. And looking at the satellite images, they look more like small hamlets. I also don't find them on Wikipedia.

The city of Chagalamarri does exists and is mentioned to part of Nandyal district. Cities and towns in Nandyal district does not mention Kottapalle, Settiveedu or Godiganuru.

Does it makes sense? How should we move this forward?

Legit ticket. Not an easy thing. Not clear what is exactly level ADM5 (quarters?). At this stage, to my opinion, more an enhancement than a bug. Not a blocker for go live.

I don't see it as a blocker, and seeing as these cities/villages are not in the source DB, I do not even see this as a bug. More like an upstream issue we may or may not want to report back to Geonames, but overall not really our problem.
