How is the quarantine bit handled for bottles?

Description of issue

I know there is a --no-quarantine for casks, but how does brew handle the quarantine bit for bottles, is it cleared during adhoc signing or is there another process?

There is no quarantine for bottles. It's a bit that gets set during download to indicate that a cask comes from an external source. Bottles are internal to brew and therefore do not get the bit set.
