Description of issue

The above error appears in the log during testing in a PR and I'm at a bit of a loss to understand where it's coming from.

It happens following execution of a step that seems to have nothing to do with the package being tested and seems to be due to some corruption somewhere, but my grep'ing has so far failed to turn up anything. Can someone give me a push in the right direction? It's very much appreciated.
