Immediate source of incompatibility is (*RunContext).MakeThumbnail, which assumes existence of three commands :

convert (this one has official builds for windows (ImageMagick), so it's ok)
ffmpegthumbnailer (not supported for windows, web search yields only a conda install, and, conda… no.)
pdftoppm (situation is similar to ffmpegthumbnailer can't seem to find windows builds of it)
wkhtmltopdf (for PDF generation) (has official builds for windows)

Alternatives for Windows need to be found.
