Police refuse to fight #6065

Have you tried getting < 10 Km of them? Sometimes a combat mission has multiple ship at the target and it won't complete unless I get close to some (then they attack me then I kill them). |
Yes. I am usually within at least 5 km of the police. The police fight back on a few planets, but more often not. |
Sounds like they're not equipped with weapons? I think you can inspect the ships by selecting them and pulling up the debug window, Ctrl+i, if you see this happening again. |
Yes. I have inspected the police on both Cydonia and System Administration Resting and they don't seem to be armed. Their equipment consists of:

Observed behaviour
Police don't fight you after breaking a law; they simply follow you around for a while.
Expected behaviour
The police start attacking you after a broken law.
Steps to reproduce
Play game and break a law. Let the police follow you.
