Not able to install docker-pretty-ps

I am trying to install docker-pretty-ps on my freshly installed ubuntu 22.04.

I tried with pip and by building and installing.

Pip
installation went well

pip install docker-pretty-ps
Defaulting to user installation because normal site-packages is not writeable
Collecting docker-pretty-ps
  Downloading docker_pretty_ps-1.0.2-py3-none-any.whl (13 kB)
Installing collected packages: docker-pretty-ps
Successfully installed docker-pretty-ps-1.0.2

but then when I try to run docker-pretty-ps I get

docker-pretty-ps: command not found

Build and install

python3 setup.py install

Perhaps your account does not have write access to this directory?  If the
installation directory is a system-owned directory, you may need to sign in
as the administrator or "root" account.  If you do not have administrative
access to this machine, you may wish to choose a different installation
directory, preferably one that is listed in your PYTHONPATH environment
variable.

It is probably some stupid thing but I would like to get your help on this. Thanks!

in my case, I just added a symlink in /usr/bin/ by running

sudo ln -s ~/.local/bin/docker-pretty-ps /usr/bin/docker-pretty-ps

I also had to change the python3 path in the first line of ~/.local/bin/docker-pretty-ps file to #!/usr/bin/python3
