I think this might be somewhat similar to #499 my system either freezes completely or one of my displays blanks out and shows blue lines down the monitor. I can sometimes turn it off and on again in display settings and then it sort of works but it usually ends up freezing up my system. Here is a photo of my screens, the smaller screen (I think it is probably set as my primary) seems ok in the cases where the system does not freeze up completely:

Here is a system log of around the time when this happened: screen blank issue.txt

My system details:

  • Thelio Mira
  • 13th Gen Intel Cor i7-13700k
  • AMD Radeon RX 7800 xt

Oh I meant to mention that I typically have the following running:

  • Brave Browser
  • IntelliJ
  • VSCode
  • One or more docker containers (in podman)

Seems to be especially prevalent when moving a window from one display to another

Not sure if related, but my system freezes after a min when I open Brave Browser (which is unresponsive). Commit 63995c4 works, but some commit between 63995c4 and a3714b0 introduced this bug.

Edit: Actually, the problem is still present with commit 63995c4 , but it only freezes now when I close Brave Browser (it doesn't react & then the system freezes).
