Electron applications have graphical corruption or don't launch

When launching an Electron application, the app either doesn't launch or the window has severe graphical corruption.
Discord initially launched as a corrupted window, but on subsequent launches it just reports an error in the terminal.
The latest GitHub Desktop also reports the same error, but a version just before latest launched fine (until possibly the recent cosmic-session update). So the issue might be related to newer Electron versions.
Both native and flatpak versions report the same error:

ERROR:wayland_event_watcher.cc(43)] libwayland: [destroyed object]: error 7: create_immed failed and produced an invalid wl_buffer

OS: Pop!_OS 24.04
GPU: RX 570
