I dont know if it is my own issue, i used to be able to do it

also happens in editor when not hovering over anything

Can confirm this happens to me too. I wasn't sure if I was imagining if it use to be possible or not. Glad there are other people that have.

If we can get it working globally i'm not against it, but i don't think it's a super high priority when we can tell users to bind this themselves for now.

so this is not a bug, just feature changes that users didnt notice, i see

It's a bit from both columns, but yes there's a workaround for now (which may reduce editor functionality, but I think you'll live).
