Description
We could have a page where we collect instructions for maintainers, under Dev docs, between Release strategy and Publication strategy.
In that page, we would explain why we distribute our own packages for Debian/Ubuntu, and we would have some starting points / links to documentation for package maintainers. A package maintainer should be able to find all information they need about packaging preCICE, without having to understand much about what preCICE does. So, we could repeat some basic concepts here, so that package maintainers don't need to get lost in our documentation.
It could also be a useful page for other projects that are interested in packaging their project for various package managers.
