Help me find where a package is installed?

I can't find where a poetry installed ray. Any. pointers appreciated!

I'm using Python 3.10. I installed poetry into a Docker image starting from nvidia/cuda:12.3.1-base-ubuntu22.04 with Python/Poetry installed as follows:

I'm doing everything as root (I know). Then I installed ray 2.9.1. My pyproject.toml lists: ray = {version = "2.9.1", extras = ["data", "default", "serve", "train"]}
When I run poetry show ray it prints out:

 version      : 2.9.1                                                                       
 description  : Ray provides a simple, universal API for building distributed applications.

But poetry run ray prints Command not found: ray and I've gone spelunking through all the cache/virtualenv directories I can find and can't find ray anywhere. I found the other installed libraries in /root/.cache/pypoetry/virtualenvs/flock-9TtSrW0h-py3.10/lib/python3.10/site-packages but not ray. Any ideas where ray might have been installed?

poetry show ray can show the package from the lockfile even when it is not installed in the selected environment

from /app try these checks

poetry env info --path

poetry run python -c "import sys; print(sys.executable)"

poetry run python -c "import ray; print(ray.__file__)"

the last command either prints the actual package location or confirms that it cannot be imported there

if the import fails run poetry install in that same project directory and check its output for the ray installation
also check whether the dependency is in an optional group or extra that was not selected

if importing works but the ray command is missing check the bin directory of the environment reported by poetry env info
