the project is currently unlicensed. if we ever want to share it as an actual package it would be good if we licensed the code. Not sure if we'd go with MIT, BSD or GPL, would just be a matter of preference.
there could potentially be an issue with retroactively licensing the unlicensed code various beings have contributed. in the worst case we'd have to get permission from everyone. personally i would be fine having ownership of any code i wrote so far be transferred to Chaosdorf e.V. or whoever else the license owner would be.
