I wish to have an option to add a name, label or description to a picture. Until now pictures only have a size in the dialog.

Temporary i add a text label to the picture but grouping isn't possible, too. To move or copy the picture with label you have to mark it correctly.

The problem with images is that their format is converted to base 64 encoding to be incorporated into the project file, which is just an XML file, which causes a lot of slowdowns on large projects with many images included.

It is then more judicious to create a symbol with the QElectroTech element editor, admittedly this can take more time, but today many tools such as dxf2elmt or QET_elementScaler as well as the many colours offered on the palette can replace an image like the speaker above.
And you'll be able to better define the texts, ensuring that they rotate automatically if the whole thing is rotated, etc.
Add terminals for autoconnect with conductors, etc..
