Bug description

Screen.Recording.2025-02-12.at.10.53.11.AM.mov

In source mode in Quarto, it remembers the previous code chunk’s language.
However, in visual mode, it doesn’t remember the previous chunk’s language. I hope it behaves similarly to source mode.

Additionally, I couldn’t find the default Positron keymap for inserting a code chunk in visual mode (the default hotkey in source mode instead inserts an image). Instead, I use the RStudio keymap in visual mode, even though I don’t use the RStudio keymap in Positron. I hope this keybinding inconsistency is considered as well. :)

I initially posted this issue to Positron and it was rather suggested to be reported here:

Steps to reproduce

See above screen recordings

Actual behavior

See above screen recordings

Expected behavior

In visual mode, it should remember previous language as in source mode. Also, it should have consistent hotkeys.
