Comments
Happy to help mentor as well! |
\o/ Awesome to see Spree on board again! |
Sounds like a fun project! I'm definitely interested as a student. Anyone else? |
@JaimeLynSchatz it'd be ideal if you could find another partner in same city and also a coach, then you could apply |
@TrungLe I'm working on it. :) I've got some feelers out and I'm headed to :) Jaime,
|
👍 Happy to coach/mentor again on this. |
Aye, I'm happy to volunteer the folks at freerunning tech to assist in stuff on a google hangout or over IRC. |
❤️ Spree community never fail to impress me |
Hey, I and my partner love it! We would love to work on it this summer, but we don't have a coach. Would be glad if @GeekOnCoffee or @peterberkenbosch could mentor/coach us! Or for that matter anyone who wants to coach/mentor us on this proposal is most welcome! |
Sure thing @Disha-Shah did you submit your proposal yet? |
My partner Bita (@bitadj) and I have an interest in working on Spree! We have 2 coaches in LA and looking for a mentor. I would say we have an intermediate understanding of Ruby/Rails. |
@peterberkenbosch |
@peterberkenbosch Its great to hear from you :) We want to submit proposal ASAP so if possible could you please share your details with us that is needed to fill the application. |
@Disha-Shah and @NitikaAgarwal you can email me at peter[at]spreecommerce.com |
Hi i'm interested in working on Spree, but I'm currently still looking for a partner and a second coach (current one can only commit 2 days a week). Is there anybody still looking for a partner? Sorry this is so last minute, but I only found out about this program a few days ago! |
@peterberkenbosch |
Spree is an eCommerce solution that is built from ground up with Rails stack. It is in fact the de facto solution for Rails open source ecommerce on the market. Recently, it's acquired another round of funding and is expanding the community and development at very fast pace.
Last year, I was mentoring Spree Girls team to implement Twitter Deck integration. Few things that I learn from last year is that such implementation seems too hard to achieve because it requires the students to understand Ruby/Rails very well to be able to tackle the problem comfortably. So this year I'd like to propose something different for Spree, instead of tackling on a specify feature, I would love to have an adhoc objectives/goals:
If any students are up to challenge, I am happy to be their mentor. And the spree community always give the students the best support on IRC or Mailing List
