Incorrect appearance for Windows10 and Windows10Minimal themes

I've been experiencing two issues with the Windows10 and Windows10Minimal themes.

The first is that the left sidebar is the wrong color, and some of the options are cut off at the top of the screen [attachment 1.]

The second is that, on Windows10Minimal, whenever I open the start menu, a black box briefly appears on the right side of the programs menu before disappearing [not attached as my screencap software couldn't capture it.]

What's your version of Windows 11 Start Menu Styler?

I can't reproduce it.

I can reproduce this one. I managed to fix it by adding the following styles:

Target:

Grid#FrameRoot

Styles:

Margin=0,0,0,-4
MaxWidth=389

Target:

Border#AcrylicOverlay

Style:

BorderThickness=2,2,3,2

A workaround that might also work for you is to revert to the old start menu layout from the mod settings.

I'm also unable to reproduce the issue in windows 10 full. Please share your windows build number, so we can see if its supported right now, as well as any other info you believe might be relevant, such as when this issue started, or if you just started with windhawk, other mods you're using, etc

As for Windows 10 minimal, the left navbar being a different color was by design, I made it that way to give a little extra visual flair since I felt being that there is no "real" or "default" windows 10 minimal start (without mods) to replicate, I could take a few minor creative liberties.
I felt it provides an amount of visual separation, but the code above could be added to bypass this, or optionally you can remove the matching targets and styles from the theme's JSON

This one's sorta weird. If I select "Disable new layout and Phone Link", there's a different issue: the start menu's background detaches itself from the left side of the screen, but the buttons stay in the same spot. Picking "Disable new layout but keep Phone Link" fixes it though.

This specific issue started when I installed version 1.4, which was about an hour before I opened this thread. When I installed 1.3.3 though, there was a different issue: the start menu would appear in the middle of the screen instead of the bottom left. I never reported this, but it seemed to be fixed with 1.4.

I normally also use "Alt + Tab window delayer", "Classic context menu on Windows 11", "Windows 11 File Explorer Styler", and "Windows 11 Taskbar Styler", but the issue persists even if I turn all of them off.

My gpu is an RX 5600XT, which I've had to manually uninstall and reinstall all the drivers for several times due to issues with games. That included removing and reinstalling AMDKMPFD. Not sure if that relevant, but hope it helps.

I'm on 26200.8037 and that matters as it tells us if you are running an insider version of windows or not, and in which channel.

I'd normally just look in the log for this info but yours didn't have everything, sorry to ask so many questions!

I haven't used AMD in years, I swore them off years and years ago, maybe as far back as 2010/2011 out of frustration with all of their drivers (not just gpu), so I'm not familiar with AMDKMPFD. (overclocking tool? guessing something like AMD unlock multiplier profile/power feature delivery? just a guess!)

I doubt it would cause these types of minor visual inconsistencies though. Most likely, you just have different default start menu settings out of the box without mods, due to all the changes as well as the constant A/B/C testing MS does all the time. A/B testing of course meaning we can be on the exact same build and have different features, or different versions of the same feature.......I do wish it weren't so...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's a file that tells your computer your monitor model, resolution, size, etc so that the drivers can work properly. So I think it's possible that uninstalling and reinstalling it so many times could cause issues.
