This seems like a streamjoy bug. I've checked and the frames are loaded in the correct order. According to the docs setting nthreads_per_worker=1 should prevent flickering when rendering with matplotlib but this doesn't seem to help. Nor does using a synchronous scheduler. In fact, that makes things worse
