RAUC Integration Updates (subscribe for notifications)

Please subscribe, as this issue will be used for notifications of important changes to this repository and of integration into the upstream build systems.

This repository, the advisory and the 1.5 release have been made public today.

Regarding the build systems:

• the update for meta-rauc has been merged to master
• the update for PTXdist has been committed to master
• the update for buildroot is on the mailing list and will be cherry-picked for the upcoming 2020.02.x and 2020.11.x stable releases

An update for Debian has been uploaded for unstable and should then migrate to testing.

Note that we now have the 1.5.1 release available that fixes some minor bugs and compatibility issues when building against older toolchains or libs:

• Fix building with kernel headers < 4.14 (src/mount.c: fix build with kernel < 4.14 rauc#673)
• Fix manifest generation for casync bundles (fix checksum generation in rauc convert rauc#686)
• Fix too strict payload size check which triggered on casync bundles generated by versions up to 1.4 (fix checksum generation in rauc convert rauc#686)
• Restore compatibility with glib 2.50 (Restore Compatibility With glib 2.50 API and add API Compatibility Checks rauc#677)

Regarding the build systems:

• the update for meta-rauc has been merged to master
• the update for PTXdist has been released with ptxdist-2021.02.0
• the update for buildroot has been merged to master. The kernel header fix is already part of 2020.02.9, 2020.08.3 and 2020.11.1 stable releases.
• the update for Debian is available in unstable and testing
