I use Pulse on proxmox , pbs, ct, vm, docker, truenas.
- 10 hosts
- 3 proxmox
- 2 pbs
- Mint VM (+ docker)
- Truenas VM (+ docker)
- 4 dockers (2 in VMs 2 in CTs)
My truens is a proxmox VM with nvme and disk passthrough ZFS pools.
I have Truenas Pool degraded due to disk read/write errors recently.
Would be very nice to have alerts related to :
- Truenas,
- ZFS, degraded pool
- disk health / temp (already works) / smart status ....
- alerts : i had Truenas gmail alerts not working, had to reconfigure (not good when there is no mail alerts and one disk fails in a mirror, Pulse could help with this)
- layout warnings / recommendations (a have 3 mirros of two disks, with one faulted disk in one mirror, not good situation)
- if two disks bought in the same time they could fail in the same short time period, perhaps with some metadata analysis you cold find that those disks are from same production batch, and recommend not to mix them in the same pool
- in summer appartement is hot, disks and nvme are hot, alert and recommend better cooling
- in some linuxes "lm-sensors" need to be installed to have temp sensors to work : recommend to install appropriate libs when you detect hardware passthrough and no temp/sensors lib
- In my Mint VM there is Nvidia GPU passthrough, the temps is visible in Nvidia driver GUI but not in Pulse : add GPU temp for Nvidia
Best Regards :)
