Hi guys, I'm trying to create a new plug-in but without succeeding.
the goal is to integrate a search page via barcode. i would like to see a page where there is only a search bar where you can put the barcode via a barcode reader and search for the file in the directory specified in the plugin settings. in your opinion, is this feasible?

it's not clear how the search should associate the barcode to a file.
is the barcode just a text?
does the file contains the same text in the name or in the comment?

let me give a practical example of my situation:

in a folder I have pdf files with file name: ‘COMMESSA123.4567.2025.pdf’. From the barcode textinput, I would like to insert the text (via barcode reader) 123.4567.2025 and the plugin via searches for me the corresponding file.

it's my understanding that you the barcode reader is able to enter text in any text field.
if that's so, then you can just click "search" and use the barcode there.
that's already searching for files, and will show you the right one.
is this the functionality you need, and you thought of the plugin just to have a different look?

I use SUPER hfs for several things, I thought of creating a separate section.

I would like to create a ‘separate section’ for the production department where I can call up the order via barcode.
So to make it easier for the operators I would like to create something minimal and that only results in the files I set in the plugin settings

if you still don't want to use the "search" button, you can still do without a plugin, and make a simple html with a form, like

</form>

put this in index.html file in a folder, and

i didn't test it, but i think it should open the folder you configured adding ?search=YOURTEXT in the url.
you can even make things more complex, but you still don't need plugins, just make html, maybe with javascript inside.

well, it is actually NOT necessary to use the "serve as web-page" now that i think of it.
that will just show the page as a folder, but i don't think this is doing any good to you.
