Touch Display 7in - backlight remains on

With Features / Browser enabled and the 'Screen off' set to 10 mins, the screen does turn off (goes blank) BUT the backlight remains on meaning the screen never truly goes off.

It seems this may be a regression from PR #102

Can this be fixed please ?
