<p>Hypothetical physical-education scores of a group of ten high-school boys are shown in <ahref="#tbl-physical-mental" class="quarto-xref">Table <span>29.1</span></a>, ordered from high to low, along with the I.Q. score for each boy. The ranks for each student’s athletic and I.Q. scores are then shown in the third and fourth columns:</p>
