Error then Cartridge stuck in unplayable state #268

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Can't reproduce: error message showed only once. After that, tje the cartridge
got stuck in an unplayable state.
What is the expected output? What happens instead?
Should have answered question and moved on to next task or location. Instead,
there was an error message (screenshot attached) and the cartridge got stuck in
a state with no new tasks to complete or locations to visit, and thus no way to
proceed except starting over from the beginning.

Please provide any additional information below.
See screenshots. Was progressing nicely until malfunction. There was no way to
input answer to question, no way to continue. No locations to visit and all
tasks show as completed, but there should have been one where an answer still
needed to be provided.
