Hi @gsmiro — short answer: there is always some risk, because OpenWA connects to WhatsApp through unofficial clients (whatsapp-web.js or @whiskeysockets/baileys), not Meta's official Cloud API. WhatsApp's anti-abuse systems actively look for unofficial automation, and no code quality on our side can make that risk zero.

The TL;DR: use a dedicated number you can afford to lose, warm it up gradually, never blast cold contacts on day one, and keep a fallback for anything mission-critical.
