For development purposes it would be comfortable to have configuration to download source code for certain deb packages.

Hi @annaborn. Not sure what you mean exactly ...
Do you mean a deb-src, that is an environment that would allow you to rebuild the debian package ?
Or do you mean the ability to checkout a source package from git (the "normal" way) instead of the prebuilt debian package ?
Sorry, something went wrong.
Until such feature is available, you can use, e.g.,.,
apt source rock-master-20.06-base-types
I understood it as: it should be possible to use the deb package, and import (not install) the corresponding source package from git.
The required information is already available in a package's changelog:
zless /usr/share/doc/rock-master-20.06-base-types/changelog.Debian.gz
rock-master-20.06-base-types (0.20200611-1~bionic) unstable; urgency=low * Package automatically built using 'apaka' * repository: github:/rock-core/base-types.git * branch: refs/heads/master * commit: 3e6062f59fa4cf260f5bb5621ecc1384cedab3b4 * tag: -- Rock Packaging Daemon (based on apaka) <[email protected]> Wed, 02 Sep 2020 11:36:51 +0200 /usr/share/doc/rock-master-20.06-base-types/changelog.Debian.gz (END)
