What I would like to have next year is what we did in the beginning.
Learn sth. (e.g. a method), see and discuss an example in class, then at home I could make my own example as homework.

e.g. homework after we learned some methods like map, each etc.
https://github.com/Bumbledebee/text-to-squares/blob/old/debbie/good_stuff/debbies_zoo.rb
(the commits I got it from is here: https://github.com/svenfuchs/text-to-squares/commits/old?page=5)
e.g. first homework round on tests after we learned them
https://github.com/Bumbledebee/text-to-squares/blob/old/debbie/good_stuff/niceday.rb

I mostly dont have energy/time/concentration for homework where I have to google a lot and find out myself.
Only when with others at a workshop or so I can find time and concentration.

Maybe we can spend half an hour at the beginning of each session on Vorlesungsstyle question and answer learning.

very good plans @svenfuchs ! I agree with @Bumbledebee: working on a problem in a small group works better for me, too. And repeating and aply something we learnt is easier to do by myself at home.

I'm looking forward to learn more with you next year! This study group is really enriching me (do you say that in english?) However, it is great working and learning with you! Again, thanks a lot to @svenfuchs @fidothe @rkh for your time, knowledge and patience ;)

Yes, you can be enriched by something in English.

You probably wouldn't use "However" in the way you have.

'However' usually signals some kind of contradiction or alternative to
the preceding statement. In this case your preceding statement is actually *
reinforced* by the statement that follows. You would use, for example,
'furthermore' instead (although this is quite formal and would only be used
to add emphasis…)

you can also say "what a rewarding experience" it has been !!

rewarding for me doing copy paste insert own example homework is that I
felt started to take ownership over the code or the method ("aneignen").

rewarding about the app is that I have personal archive that I can use to
look up how to do stuff (e.g. how to do twitter login, select box etc.).
yet i was not able to completely follow all lines of code and take
ownership, here and there i know what is going on, here and there I do not.
but its ok and I would not want to make it a goal. there was more value to
it, e.g. issues for features and branches and travis and example rails
problem solving etc.
