Description
On Mac, I'm getting a permissions dialog "“7.2.0.16576386064 GLTF mesh import” would like to access files in your Desktop folder."
and
"Allow “Second Life Project Gltf Mesh Import” to find devices on local networks?
This will allow the app to discover, connect to, and collect data from devices on your networks."
Reproduction steps
- Install the Mac 7.2.0.16576386064 GLTF mesh import viewer from https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/releases/tag/Second_Life_Release%23288bce10-2025.05
- Log in and ???. I'm not sure if that's all that is required to trigger this.
Observed: 2 different permission requests from MacOS.
- "“7.2.0.16576386064 GLTF mesh import” would like to access files in your Desktop folder."
- "Allow “Second Life Project Gltf Mesh Import” to find devices on local networks? This will allow the app to discover, connect to, and collect data from devices on your networks."
Expected: The viewer should not be requesting these permissions as far as I know. I don't recall seeing these on any older viewer. I don't know if this is a change in the viewer or in the OS.
