Description

On Mac, I'm getting a permissions dialog "“7.2.0.16576386064 GLTF mesh import” would like to access files in your Desktop folder."
and
"Allow “Second Life Project Gltf Mesh Import” to find devices on local networks?
This will allow the app to discover, connect to, and collect data from devices on your networks."

Reproduction steps

1. Install the Mac 7.2.0.16576386064 GLTF mesh import viewer from https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/releases/tag/Second_Life_Release%23288bce10-2025.05
2. Log in and ???. I'm not sure if that's all that is required to trigger this.

Observed: 2 different permission requests from MacOS.

1. "“7.2.0.16576386064 GLTF mesh import” would like to access files in your Desktop folder."

2. "Allow “Second Life Project Gltf Mesh Import” to find devices on local networks? This will allow the app to discover, connect to, and collect data from devices on your networks."

Expected: The viewer should not be requesting these permissions as far as I know. I don't recall seeing these on any older viewer. I don't know if this is a change in the viewer or in the OS.

Let's see if we can repro on other M1's with up to date MacOS

I cannot repro #4462 with a clean SL install on macOS 15.5 on Apple M1. There may be additional conditions required to trigger the pop up but I do not see this blocking a release.

I was able to reproduce 'find devices on local networks' on the current Release viewer Second Life Release 7.1.15.15596336374 (64bit) too, so it's not a regression in 2025.03.
