Looking for a way to print the generated snippet to a file other than changelog

I'm trying to find a way to print the generated markdown to a file other than changelog. We need to be able to append the changes to our change tracking system.

Is this currently possible? If it is I haven't seen it in any of the documentation.

I think with this plugin you can output the generated markdown to any file you want:
