My News Classifier

A service that takes scraped article content and predicts the category of the news.

Description

This project provides a service that utilizes machine learning algorithms to classify news articles based on their content. By inputting the scraped article content, the service predicts the category of the news, allowing for automated categorization of news articles.

Installation

To use this service, please follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/your-username/my-news-classifier.git
  1. Install the dependencies:
npm install

Usage

  1. Obtain an API key for the service. Please contact the author for the API key.

  2. Set up the API key in your environment. You can do this by creating a .env file in the project's root directory and adding the following line:

API_KEY=YOUR_API_KEY_HERE
  1. Start the service:
node server.js
  1. Access the service in your browser or using an API client:
http://localhost:3000/predict?article=<scraped-article-content>

Replace with the actual content of the scraped article.
