Today the profile window initialization contains some hack to avoid blinking.
This produce issues with latest PyQt5 version. Question is: is this hack still needed ?

at least with my current configuration (PyQt5.15, python 12) it doesn't seems to do any difference...

It is worth checking if it is still needed with currently supported Qt bindings.
