Hi, I'm Péter 👋

I'm an independent security engineer from Hungary, working on CloakProbe.dev — a privacy-first “what does my browser leak?” tool.

Most “what is my IP” sites track you and feed adtech. CloakProbe is the opposite:

  • No tracking, no dark patterns
  • Clear view of what a website can learn about you (IP, ASN, rough location, platform, possible VPN/Tor, etc.)
  • A technical view for power users and a simple view for everyone else

My goal is to make it easy to understand what you leak online, and how to reduce it with the tools you already have (browser, OS, router, VPN).

What I'm working on

  • Improving the IP / ASN detection and local databases (RIPE, IP→ASN, etc.)
  • Adding more browser and network leak tests (IPv6, DNS, WebRTC, fingerprinting signals…)
  • Building a human-friendly report view that explains in plain language what each piece of data means
  • Experimenting with PDF/e-book style privacy reports so people can get a personal “privacy checklist”
  • Keeping CloakProbe open and accessible for home users

All of this is done in my spare time, on my own hardware and servers.
