Sponsoring me is not about to get me a salary, it's about an incentive to do more, do it in areas where hardware or subscriptions are needed, do it on a holiday or having a goal to fix or develop something in the next step which requires money. My open source track record is almost 25 years long. It started when CVS was everywhere. The observant persons may have noticed that my interest in working on an open-source project usually drops suddenly when that project becomes monetized. I prefer it community-based and democratic.

In the past I massively contributed to

• Home Assistant: I wrote a lot of integrations MQTT, Arduino, myStrom, the complete binary sensor, weather integrations, and and and...
• Fedora: in a lot of places like FAMA, Fedora EMEA, packaging, L10n, etc.
• Alpine Linux: primarily packaging and tooling around packaging

Today, my primary focus is on NixOS and Nixpkgs. Working on security tools also Home Assistant Ecosystem.
