Hey — been playing around with Git City and I ran into something that's pretty noticeable once you see it. When you're flying through the city and cross the LOD distance threshold, buildings don't transition smoothly — they just snap. One frame you've got a simplified far-away building, and the next frame it's the full detailed version. No blend, no fade, just a hard pop. The animated windows also reset abruptly at the same moment, which makes it even more jarring.
It's especially obvious if you fly fast and straight toward a dense cluster of buildings — you'll see the whole row snap at once. Slowing down doesn't really help either; it actually makes the flicker more noticeable because you're hovering right at the boundary.
Steps to reproduce
1.Open the city and jump into Free Flight Mode.
2.Pick a direction with a lot of buildings and fly toward them from a distance.
3.Keep a steady speed — don't slow down as you approach.
4.Watch the buildings as you close in. You'll catch the exact frame they snap from low-detail to high-detail — it's pretty hard to miss once you know what to look for.
EXPECTED
Buildings cross the LOD threshold and you barely notice — smooth, seamless, the way it feels in any polished 3D scene.
What actually happens
Single-frame hard snap. Geometry switches instantly, window animations reset, and if multiple buildings hit the threshold at the same time it's even more distracting.
