Stuck at "Build Application" for a very long time

Describe the bug

I tried to deploy the application. It is stuck at "Build" step for a very long time. No way to cancel and retry or look at what's going on/debug.

Steps to reproduce

1. create an app
2. deploy

Expected behavior

Expect it to show progress and complete build within a reasonable amount of time.
Should have the ability to cancel and retry.
