The most important part after installation, in my opinion so far, is the addition of domains and accounts. Unfortunately, this part is a little unclear in Stalwart right now. Here are some quick tweaks that might help and be easy to implement rather than adding new code:

In the MAIN AREA of Stawart

Under 'Accounts' the current text says this when you click it:

Accounts
Manage user accounts

I was thinking this will help clarity:

Accounts
Manage Stalwart webmin and email user accounts

Or, if that's too verbose:

Accounts
Manage backend and email user accounts

This will make sure the user knows that you can create both of these kind of accounts here (and look no further).

In the CREATE ACCOUNT dialogue box

Once the user clicks into this dialogue box the first confusing thing is 'what is this 'login name'? Is that the login the email client will require when connecting from Thunderbird for example? No...
I would suggest this change:

  • Login name --> Stalwart login ID

Then, it's confusing with the email field. it feels like this is a Stalwart email ID so that Stalwart backend can send you emails. HOwever, I found out this creates the actual email account for the previously-configured domain. So, I would suggest this change:

  • Email --> Email - this creates a new email account if Domain has already been configured in Stalwart

Then, under 'Authentication' tab, there is 'password'. I would suggest:

  • Password --> Password - this is the password that you will enter into email client to connect to email account

I think these text changes will remove a lot of the confusion.
