Stan here, I'm looking to commission some new icons in the IsoPacks style.
Please request below specific items you would like I. E.
Gateway/Router
Something like that.
Please don't be vaugue I. E. "Homelabbing"

LMK if I should make a new issue, as this may be more aligned to flat icons. Or maybe there should be a way to better represent flat icons as isometric.

Probably out of scope, but I could also see:

Physical infrastructure: Buildings (house, shop, fast food) and Vehicles (car, bike, boat, airplane)

Relationships: People (man, baby, grandparent) and Animals (cat, dog, seahorse)

I can't access the first link though...
The other ones are great, I am slightly worried about using non MIT/MIT-esque licenses in the project, just in case someone decides all of a sudden they don't want to have their icons used anymore. I might try and make it easier to add a whole "pack" instead of individual icons maybe?

Yeah definitely licenses should be considered.

Fixed the first link. As I understand it, there is no licensing there, but SpaceInvader is a very community driven member of the Unraid community. I can't see him making noise on an open source project

The selfhst icon pack uses "Attribution 4.0 International," which has a similar level of freedom. I think CC Attribution 4.0 is more for creative works where MIT is better for code.

Dashboard-icons uses Apache 2.0, which is similar to MIT (though MIT should be more permissive). This could be an issue, but your suggestion of icon packs seems like the way to go. If they make any noise due to improper licensing practices, this project can make a good-faith fix, otherwise the pack is removed from the repo.

Actually a "packs" menu might be good. Maybe a list of common URLs for curated packs + custom entries. Then the user can hit a button to download the assets locally?

@fatflyingpigs Ah ok, that's good news. I'll have a look at implementing a "packs" menu, since this should make it a lot easier for people to use whatever packs they like.
Also thank you for the clarity on licenses, I'm certainly no expert when it comes to them!
I think in essence there needs to be a bit of an icons overhaul, maybe a 2.0 release kind of thing!

It's a start, I've forked the original project, resolved all the PRs and Issues, so it's up to date.
