Tracking fails when no internet connection is present.

I had the issue today that on my way back home from work my cellular network disconnected for some time. The points of that time where therefore not uploaded.
Hallf way back home the internet connection was reestablished but the points of the first half where not uploaded correctly.

You can clearly see the point where i regainde connection. I am not quite sure if the internet connection is the cause of this or if the tracking just wasnt really on on the first half, but i find it strange that the point of reconnecction and reliable tracking correlate this much.

I dont know where i can get the logs for the app or what data you need.

My Settings are the following:
Batch Size: 1
Frequenzy: 1s
Minimum Point Distance: 100m
Accuracy: High

Hey, thank you for reporting this issue. May I ask on what version of the app you are? Also, do you know by any chance if this also happens when the batch limit is set to a higher value?

Ps: I would advice against 1s frequency since it consumes a lot of battery, especially for a minimum distance of 100m. I would try out 0s (auto mode) which tracks only based on distance and not time. I think it would be a little bit more friendly on the battery. In the future auto mode will not track if you are not moving so it wouldn't waste battery when you're stationary

Hey, i tried replicate it by turning off cellular data this morning but wasnt able to.
I will try again on my way back.

I am on App Version 0.19.0-gms (downloaded from the playstore)

Can I export the logs somewhere?

That is not strictly 100% accurate. I changed the settings yesterday to Frequency = auto and distance = 0.
Before turning on the cellular data the tracks where made at a different frequency than with data enabled (see picture red line is where i turned cellular data on)

Were you going towards the left side or towards the right side? I assume turning on cellular increased the frequency.

Either way this is an interesting find. I think connectivity may have an effect on tracking because the location stream uses other technologies than gps to get your location, remove one technology (cellular) and it struggles more to get your location lowering the frequency. This is my theory at the moment.

But the tracking result from the first picture is unnacceptable, I am currently working on the reliability of the tracker, I hope the next version works better and more efficiently than the current version.

Yes, i was going to the left side.
On my way back from work i tried distance 100m and interval = auto. Everything wirked fine this time in both modes.
I will try 100m and 1s again tomorrow to see if the issue comes back.
